‘Moving Stories’ is a FRONTLINEdance monthly community performance company who meet face to face for a creative, expressive, explorative, movement, and dance session. They are aimed at the over 55’s however, we value the richness of intergenerational work and the value different ages can bring to a group and the individual. Suitable for all ability and experience levels, and of course like all our work, they are inclusive.
These sessions will usually see you co-creating themed based contemporary dance work with FRONTLINEdance’s Artistic Director, which are then ‘site-specifically’ performed. To date the group have performed at a number of local events and festivals including the Dignity Awards at NUL College, at the New Vic Theatre Live Age Festivals, and the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
RECENT PERFORMANCE: Saturday 25th June 2022 – Queens Platinum Jubilee Project: “With Soundness of Heart” – an intergenerational and inclusive performance. Quote: “What a thoroughly enjoyable experience watching this fabulous performance. Loved the fact you had to move around to see different dances, with a fully inclusive cast of performers. It was joyful and fun, and also very moving. The specially written music was beautiful, and wonderfully sung. Everyone had obviously worked so hard to pull it all together. Well done to all. I’m so glad I was able to watch this amazing performance, I went home thoroughly uplifted with joy in my heart!”
