The Dove Service is the only grief support charity in the West Midlands, offering support to anyone aged 4+ with issues relating to grief in any form, be that as a result of bereavement, anticipated bereavement, the diagnosis of a life-changing or life-limiting illness, or any significant loss. We offer specialist counselling, support groups, befriending groups, training, workshops and information/advice/guidance.
Adults in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire can access our specialist counselling through the Staffordshire Wellbeing Service by calling 0300 303 0923 and choosing the option for your area.
We have a variety of funded projects supporting children & young people, you can call our offices for more information and to find out how we might be able to help.
If you are supporting someone with their grief, perhaps a child or partner, and are worried about how best to do that, you can call our offices and ask to speak to someone for some advice. We also offer this service to schools and workplaces who may have to cope with a death on-site or of a member of your community.
Our Dove Buddies friendship groups are open to anyone who has been bereaved and who would like to get out and start to socialise again, perhaps with other people who you know have experienced the same thing. The group does different social activities and usually meets once a month.
We can also offer self-funded counselling and training and emergency support at reasonable rates, which are listed on our website.
